Different slant though-mine was on a graffiti program we had at my library. The graffiti program was part of my master’s thesis research, and it generated both a lot of community interest and a lot of social capital (and good times) in the teens who participated, and even those who simply heard about the program or saw the results.
I say all this because not only is the graffiti you posted both awesome and inspiring, but it could be a your readers have at their library, with a local graffiti artists and a bunch of spraypaint.
I just posted on library graffiti too. http://shannonbarniskis.com/2011/11/10/library-graffiti/
