I fear ebooks becoming ubiquitous because I can't afford to pay for books. I read too much for it to be practical. Plus, how could you read in the bath tub with an eclectic gadget?

let's do it. let me know when, and what i need to download.

i agree, now would be the time, before someone else offers something that takes hold of the market.

Hi Aaron,

We should have that first online shanachie roundtable soon (working on it).
I think libraries should join forces internationally to look at the possibility to develop a special libook reader. We have to be in that market and this is the time.

The best part about me reading your comment is that after my phone's alarm went off this morning I checked my email on it while still in bed!

My first thoughts after reading the Amazon description & watching their promo video:

1) Wikipedia? I use it all the time, but I don't consider it THE reference resource (along with a nifty online dictionary, of course) that I'd want to cart around on my li'l device.

2) I'd have to pay a monthly fee in order to read the blogs I keep up with?

3) I can't surf the Web or check my e-mail? That would drive me a bit insane, and is a severe limitation.

4) Lot of money for so much DRM. What about the right of first sale, etc?
