→ Portland Ciy Council Hopeful Amanda Fritz is meeting citizens in coffee shops around the city. Portland <3s coffee. Nice idea of going where the users are.

Push Button Coffee Shop.
It’s like a delicious, delicious Transformer. How about a push button library branch? A next generation bookmobile?

I love this. I mean, I REALLY REALLY LOVE THIS. Like the bookmobile, only with a less transient feel. It could still be portable, allowing us to take the library to the patrons — outreach would never be the same.

Yes! Don’t you think that these things would be a big draw?

I dig the chandelier – and though still goofy, I am sticking with the idea that we start calling everyone “mybrarians” rather than “librarians” once we personalize these outreach efforts.
