Seriously, take 5 minutes, get the hang of it, make your little guy race around. Done? Okay. Now take a look at this: Line Rider – Jagged Peak Adventure [YouTube]. Holy smokes, right? In fact, Line Rider stared a whole genre of YouTube videos. People make screencasts of their penguins in action, or they aim their digital camera and record the monitor! The videos include elaborate death scenes for the penguin, and some cute ones with cute music. In a sense, each one of these little videos tells a different story. CHESTER – Lunch detention, how many must get passed out before the students learn not to play line rider? To many, because line rider is possibly a very good way for the students to broaden their mind. I bet you are wondering what this “line rider” is? It is a game which you control where the lines are laid down for your little sled guy to slide on. Now some teachers believe that the irritating distraction. “It’s good for after school activities, but not during class.” –Heather Greene. This teacher also enjoys taking over her student’s computers. I’m not saying that we should be able to play line rider all the time but it should not be completely cut off from our curriculum. In fact Middle Street Primary School has a line rider video and a link to the line rider website. So if one school can accept this great game why cant us? In fact one person thought line rider was so good that it helped him get off drugs. “Line rider is the best it keeps me off drugs” – John. The Air Force also loves line rider. “The entire Air Force is addicted to line rider…. this is what we do when we’re not loading bombs!” – Rookie. Even Stanford students play line rider on a daily basis.
